Grew from 5,000 to 10,000 Medium followers in 4 months. Learn tips on writing, curating, and boosting your audience effectively.
On September 22, I reached 10,000 followers. It took 4 months to go from 5,000 to 10,000. I’m deeply grateful to all my supporters.
Let me share some insights from this period.
My Daily Work on Medium
I’m both a curator and writer on Medium. I also work as an editor for Follower Booster Hub. Every Monday, I review and publish drafts for the publication, ensuring they meet guidelines.
Follower Booster Hub now has 1,000 followers. It’s a general publication accepting articles on any topic.
In June, I started Top Python Libraries, a publication focusing on Python-related content. It has 2,800 followers, and I’m the only editor managing and publishing the drafts.
Every day, I submit my articles to both Follower Booster Hub and Top Python Libraries.
Most of my content is about AI and Python, with some reflections on writing.
My Daily Work on Substack
In April, I started curating and writing on Substack. I now have 1,600 followers and have launched three publications:
How to Grow Followers Quickly on Medium
I believe many of you have learned writing tips from me or other writers. On Medium, there are two ways to grow earnings fast:
1. Get featured on Boosts, which drives traffic and increases views and claps.
2. Write SEO-friendly content for long-term traffic, usually bringing in earnings for over two weeks.
While these methods can help you earn, they don’t necessarily grow your followers quickly. Here’s my follower growth journey:
0 to 500 followers: 3 months
500 to 1,000 followers: 2 weeks
1,000 to 5,000 followers: 2 weeks
5,000 to 10,000 followers: 4 months
First, pick a clear writing niche.
Then, focus on submitting your articles to specific topics.
As your views increase, your articles will rank higher on those topics, giving you more exposure.
At least 10 topics recommend my account.
This strategy helped me grow from 500 to 10,000 followers.
Final Thoughts
A quiet room, a clean desk, and some Telemann music. I write early in the morning and stop after sunset. I hope all of you can find success and joy in your writing.
I’ll continue writing on Medium and Substack, but I’ll be spending more time on Substack as it offers more stable earnings.
Congrats on your movement
Honestly it's very fast! You are doing great.
