Smarter Camera and Photos
The new Siri will directly control the camera, allowing users to set camera modes and other operations, including:
Switching to video recording mode
Opening the camera to specific modes like photos, portrait, video, slow-motion
Setting a timer
Switching between front and rear cameras
Siri will improve the Photos app. Users can edit, move, and hide photos or albums. Siri can identify objects, landscapes, or people in photos. This is through Visual Look Up.
Users can view photos of specific people or scenes. Users can edit photos, videos, and screenshots. All this can be done through Siri.
In the Photos app, Siri will be able to:
Search and open photos containing specific objects locally and online
Rotate, copy, move, hide, and favorite photos
Create, open, rename albums, or add photos to them
Create new memories and albums
Open and edit photos and videos, apply filters, and enhance images
Additionally, the Photos app will have minor UI changes, new AI editing features, and a Clean Up tool to remove specific objects from images.
